It’s estimated that just 8% of us actually keep our New Year’s resolutions. Why? Because we set too many goals and overwhelm ourselves, we set goals that we’re not prepared to achieve (i.e. we don’t have the resources, haven’t laid the groundwork, aren’t deeply committed to reaching them), and we aren’t specific enough about the changes we’re looking to make and how we’re looking to make them.
In order to create big change, we have to look at the why’s, the how’s, the wherefore’s. We need to understand the potential impact this shift could have on our lives and hold to that impact when the going gets tough. We need a vision of the steps we need to take to bring this shift into being, and we need to prepare ourselves to make the changes we’re looking to make.
The Resolution Reading invites you to get in charge of this process. I believe that setting specific goals is one of the surest ways to become an exuberant co-creator of your life, but I also believe that goals are rarely met without commitment, determination, and an action plan. If you’re ready to burst through psycho-spiritual blocks and make 2019 the year you do “the thing,” this is the reading for you.
